Environmental Policy
BTR (UK) Limited and its clients have become aware of and are increasingly concerned about the environmental issues which threaten our world; global warming: ozone depletion; pollution of air, water and land and dwindling resources.
As a responsible Recycling Company we recognise that the services and resources we provide and use contribute to these significant impacts. The services provided by BTR enable clients to dispose of waste electronics in an environmentally acceptable manner.
The company operates as both a Government Authorised Waste Carrier and Waste Management facility. This allows us to operate within the terms and conditions set out by the Environmental Agency and where appropriate take advantage of available world-wide technological developments in the field of recycling.
BTR (UK) Limited has adopted this Environmental Policy to incorporate all aspects of our business.
We have set ourselves targets to reduce the impact of our processes including efficiency in the use of resources, increased levels of waste recycling via improved environmental awareness.
It is our policy to:
- monitor our environmental performance and set targets for improvement and prevention of pollution.
- be committed to comply with legal requirements relating to our activities.
- assess in advance the environmental impact of any new significant legislation or process.
- promote our services to increase levels of waste recycling.
- to actively participate in industry bodies concerned with electronics waste management.
- provide interested parties with our Environmental Policy upon request.
- provide adequate level of environmental awareness training for all staff.
- monitor and improve the efficiency of consumption of resources.
- monitor our performance against the objectives and targets set and review these on a continual basis.
