Logistics
Logistics is an important element of the BTR service offering. Not only is it imperative that equipment, including hazardous material, is moved in a legitimate and licenced way, but that any damage to the equipment in transit must be avoided as this can impact or in some cases completely negate any residual value that may be present in the equipment.
BTR's nationwide network of approved technical couriers have been carefully selected and understand what is required. Each has proven capability having successfully worked with BTR UK over a period of time.
BTR arranges and manages the logistics to ensure that all customer expectations and service levels are met. For instance, that suitable vehicles arrive within SLA parameters and on agreed dates.
When necessary, couriers will take care of all of the palletisation of equipment, doing so in an efficient way such that the goods are safely and securely delivered to BTR.
Turnaround from collection request to collection is within 72 hours.
Each customer contract/ project can be tailored to suit particular needs.
BTR has extensive experience of handling sensitive data bearing material and in working with restricted sites :
- When collecting from secure sites, driver and vehicle details are provided in advance.
- Classified material and other sensitive items can be locked in sealed crates using asset tags with unique numbers which are recorded on a central system and are fully traceable at asset level from point of collection.
- Vehicles have bulkhead sealed compartments and Satellite tracking.
