Software Data Destruction

If the intention is to remarket or reuse a computer then the erasure of all existing data from the hard disk is absolutely critical, and that is where the BTR UK software data destruction service comes into play.

We use the latest Blancco software erasure programme, which is accredited by the UK Government as an 'Approved Product'. Blancco is acknowledged as the most effective product of its type, and is the only product authorised by the Government for data erasure up to 'Enhanced' and 'Baseline' standards.

OnSite Data Destruction

For the majority of software data destruction projects we remove the computers for processing at our own 'secure' premises. For more sensitive or high-security situations, however, we can undertake this operation at the customer's site, thus avoiding the need for data bearing media to be taken from the site.

The BTR UK Peace of Mind

• All data is removed from equipment in a controlled, 'clean room' environment.
• All data destruction is supported by a 'Certificate of Data Destruction'.
• All equipment containing data is physically separated from equipment that does not contain data through processing.
• Should malfunction prevent the eradication of data from media installed in that equipment then the data bearing component is removed and subjected to physical destruction.
• Any data bearing components that themselves malfunction are subject to physical destruction.
• All automatic, manual or physical data destruction processes are adjacent to each other.
• All BTR UK staff with access to customer data have been security cleared allowing us to undertake contracts where data may be of a highly sensitive nature.
• All staff are specifically trained to understand the critical nature of this part of BTR UK's processes.

Data Destruction Indemnity Insurance

BTR UK guarantees the permanent and irrevocable eradication of data from hard disks, without compromising the integrity or the efficiency of the computer equipment itself. This pledge is supported by a Guarantee of Data Erasure, together with a report detailing at individual asset level, the disks that have been purged of data.
